blacks run stream: emporium and Museum

Blacks Run Stream: Emporium and Museum, 2019, stream-found items taken out of Blacks Run Stream, cardboard, and tape.

As part of my practice I clean out different waterways, and have spent extensive time in the heavily polluted Blacks Run Stream in Harrisonburg, VA. My daily route and the streams parallel, and I feel as though it is as much a part of my everyday as any other aspect. This is a collection of items filtered through in nine months. It a small percentage of what has been taken out, however, it represents the variety of items I have found. Legos, scooters, WD 40, Pirate patches, balls, food containers, kangaroo backpacks, and more. This piece is ever-changing and reforms with each installation.
